Photo opportunity not to be missed

Saturday last saw around 400 Stampin'Up! demonstrators enjoy our annual 'Heartfelt' day in Brisbane.
My downline Sylvia and I were lucky to meet up with the fabulous Tanya Bell who inspires us so much with her truly fabulous work. Of course this meeting couldn't end without a photo. What a day it was, filled with demonstrations, make and takes plus catching up with old friends and making new ones along the way. This Stampin'Up! family is amazing.

Four of us travelled up together for the day. Here we are - Sylvia, myself, Joanne and Chris Our Manager, Jacqui Crouch and Tamworth connection Therese were also there.

A little slice of 'wedding cake'

Our younger son David married his sweetheart Claire recently and I thought I'd make Claire a little gift for her High Tea afternoon. It is my version of a 'cake', gorgeous little boxes which I filled with chocolates for each guest. They went down a treat.

This was just a sample of the truly spectacular goodies we had to choose from which also included champagne. What a lovely afternoon.

I'm back!!

Hi everyone.

I've definitely been out of the loop for some time haven't I? I feel I was like a bear hibernating through Winter. Well, that's my excuse anyway.
Spring has sprung and now Summer is almost upon us, although the last couple of days here have been rather wet and miserable. 100mm (or 4") of rain fell here on Friday evening. We have really needed rain but not all at once!

Of course Stampin'Up! have released a beautiful new Catalogue and 'mini' Christmas catalogue. Naturally, I want everything from both of them, but alas that just won't happen at all once, but I will post in the very near future some fun gifts and goodies I am organising for Christmas.

In the meantine, I'd love to show you a few cards my ladies made at a recent workshop.

Birthday Butterflies:

My girlfriend Diane made me a card based on the gorgeous Elegant Butterfly punch and I changed the colours and orientation. Thanks Di, I loved your original.

Stamp Set:      Papillon Potpourri
Cardstock:       Very Vanilla, Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum
Inks:                As above with Soft Suede for sponging
Accessories:    Fancy Fan embossing folder, Perfect Pearls, Dazzling Diamonds

Bring on the Cake:

I recently purchased a pair of orange 3/4 pants and a Navy top which co-ordinate perfectly. Therefore when it came to creating this card, those 2 colours shouted out for me to use them. Little did I realise we have a similar card in the new Catalogue!! Maybe, I'd seen it previously and it hadn't registered when I thought I'd 'created' this. Oh well, just shows how our minds work! This is a fabulous stamp set for male cards.

Stamp Set:     Clockworks, Sanded Background, Bring on the Cake
Cardstock:      Tangerine Tango, Not Quite Navy, Confetti White
Inks:               Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Tangerine Tango, Staz-on Black

Snowflake Christmas:

I couldn't decide whether to use Gumball Green or Raspberry Ripple as the main feature of our card (we normally make only 3 cards in a workshop). These gorgeous colours are 2 of the 2012-2014 In Colour range. I gave the ladies their choice of colour.

Stamp Set:     Merry and Type
Cardstock:      Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple, Whisper White, Silver Glitter
Inks:               Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple
Accessories:   Dahlia Assortment In Colour adornments (centre of snowflake), Snow Flurry Bigz die (don't you just adore this snowflake?), Dimensionals

Happy stamping everyone. Until next time,

Cheers,
Sue
